Muckyhound Dog Training
Muckyhound Dog Training approached EZ Marketing about some website content writing to help get their new website completion moving in February 2015. They have been working with a company to build the new site, but as with many small businesses, they had no time to sit down and write some good content. This resulted in the project coming to a complete halt for months. We were initially recruited to write website content, however, this soon took a completely new twist. After the initial audit, we found the new design quite boring with no call to action elements and dull colour scheme. The theme used had a generic, very business- oriented feel to it, and hardly suited the lively and friendly personality of this dog training center.
We started with finding the most suited colour scheme, a lively and bright orange was chosen to represent the playful and happy environment of the place. The theme then had to be almost completely re-formatted to eliminate most of unwanted corporate looking elements. Several high impact, gorgeous dog images were added to the home page slider and some of the introductory paragraphs.
The website content writing was based on provided drafts with call to action elements added throughout the site. Basic optimisation was implemented, however the SEO was not a part of requested job.
The header was then chanced to include the address and a click-able phone number for mobile-friendly browsing. The navigational structure of the site was also assessed to help visitors reach the desired pages with minimum clicks.
What we found amazing about Muckyhound was their brilliant use of Facebook as the main platform for building customer relationships. They use a lot of video posts to showcase the happy dogs in their daycare facilities, thus building customer trust and satisfaction. After several recommendations from EZ Marketing, the YouTube Channel has been revived and populated with great educational videos and we have embedded videos on the dog training courses pages to demonstrate the result, that could be achieved and entice signing up.
From a very dull and not very inviting website to a gorgeous, cheerful and powerful marketing tool. Whether building a new site or re-vamping the old one, we have a sharp eye for visual representation and a marketer’s way of thinking you need to create a great lead-generating engine!
